Your Role & Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of all accounting matters (accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, general ledger accounts)
- Processing bank transfers and monitoring open items
- Preparation and establishment of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German GAAP (HGB)
- Preparation of VAT declarations and reconciliation of tax accounts
- Intercompany reconciliation
- Travel expense accounting
- Contact person for auditors, tax consultants and authorities
- Participation in the optimization of internal processes in finance and accounting
Your Qualifications
- Completed accounting training or a business degree specialising in financial accounting/taxes
- Several years of professional experience in financial accounting, ideally in a medium-sized company
- Experience in cost accounting, reporting and international environment as well as basic knowledge of tax regulation is helpful.
- Proficient in using common accounting systems, with a preference for SAP.
- Strong competency in MS365, particularly Excel.
- Business-level fluency in German and English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
