With almost 40 years of experience, S.E.T. covers the entire physical value chain – from refining, financing and risk management to logistics and local distribution – to provide a stable energy supply in uncertain times and regions. Since 2021, we are using this expertise to drive various projects and cooperations in the field of green energy in order to help advance the energy transition.

Conventional and
new energies

We source, refine, transport, store, finance, hedge and retail energy. We have specialized teams, trusted partner networks and are active across many energy products and countries.

Crude Oil

We buy and store crude oil of various qualities and quantities worldwide and transport and sell these crude oils by sea, rail, road or pipeline to customers for consumption, further processing and on-sales. A large, familiar network of suppliers, partners and customers ensures independence, flexibility and transparency. Our team continuously monitors and evaluates global and regional supply- and demand trends.

Gas

From an early stage, S.E.T. has also been involved in the growing gas market (LNG, LPG, natural gas) through various shareholdings and has since systematically expanded its existing expertise in this market. S.E.T. is paying tribute to the new energy realities at the German and European gas market.

Destillates

We buy, store, transport and sell all oil and gas refinery products like gasoline, naphtha, kerosene, diesel, fuel oil, gasoil, VGO, bitumen, waxes and base oils. In doing so, we can address a wide variety of customer needs through tailor-made logistics solutions and appropriate risk management.

New Energies

Through smaller investments and partnerships, we are also increasingly involved in the field of renewable energies. In parallel, we are developing and implementing new business models and infrastructure partnerships for future energies and fuels such as hydrogen and Bio LNG.

Refining

We have in depth refining expertise, many years of experience in crude oil processing and a dedicated team for the supply and offtake of refinery feedstock and products.

Transportation

We have highly specialized shipping, chartering and operations teams to cover all transportation solutions. In addition, the group holds participations in several product tankers and entertains long term charter parties.

Storage

We control and have access to strategic storage capacity for aggregation, blending and marketing to our clients.

Trading

We trade energy commodities for almost 40 years and thereby service our trusted network of suppliers, customers and partners so they can fulfill their business goals.

Finance

We have a team consisting of experienced professionals with access to flexible credit facility from premium banks, private investors and trade finance funds to facilitate our expanding business activities.

Risk Management

We have established advanced and independent risk management functions and capabilities to monitor and manage market, operational, financial, liquidity and other exposures on a continuous basis.

New Energies Projects

S.E.T. has always developed innovative business models leveraging its diverse partner network and energy know-how. Considering the dynamic developments in today energy markets, we are systematically identifying and internally developing adjacent business models and projects (e.g. hydrogen, synthetic fuels, pyrolysis oil, e-mobility focusing on new and sustainable energy sectors) in our key markets.
